Biography
A half Cherokee. His wife, Catherine, was the daughter of The Pumpkin Boy - brother of Doublehead. Catherine's mother was named Chowayukah. Chowayukah and her sister, Cheahnunah, were both alive at the time of removal. When Major John Norton visited the Cherokee Nation in the early 1800's one of his companions was an Onandada Chief. That man met his grandmother's relation who was living with the Cherokee. Her two unnamed daughters were Chowayukah and Cheahnonah. Cheahnonah's deceased husband was the son of an Ensign John Boggs, a British soldier who had served at Fort Prince George in what is now Tennessee.
