In the opinion of the valuing agent this land ought to have been valued at $8.00 pr. acre [unclear]
July 15th. 1837. The above note of Doctor Young (in pencil) being taken into consideration by the commissioners. It was adjudged that the allowance of one dollar per acre more as suggested, be allowed said Martins for his cleared lands being 162 acres which being carefully added to the other items of improvement, + considering [some] additions, makes the aggregate of said improvements $2767 - Wills and Lumpkin
