    Notes
Supplement to Fields' former valuations, done by special instructions from Lumpkin and Kennedy.
Now occupied by Simpson Black, who was given permission to live there on November 18, 1830, by "proper authorities" of Cherokee Nation, obtained by Rider Fields. Richard Fields says he purchased improvements from Rider Fields previous to December 29, 1835. Since the extension of Alabama laws over the Cherokee Nation, Black has refused to surrender the possession. The land is worth $3/acre per year in rent. Therefore, they are adding $210 to valuation, representing seven crops since extension of Alabama laws to May 23, 1838.
