"As reports, the above claims we find but little evidence to sustain it. Powers it appears [bought] an old boat some years ago [off] Still which, he (Still) assisted in getting to the place and aided in cleaning out the bank for the Ferry on the West or Cherokee Side of the River. Still resides near Canton Cherokee County, Georgia."
"On examination, the above ferry valuation is disallowed and the improvement numbered as the fifth and valued at $145 is ordered be stricken from the calculation there be no items on record identifying such an improvement."
