"We certify that one double cabin on Lewis Blackburn's improvement on the east side of Etowah River was burnt by the same person since he was turned out of possession and that the same was worth $50.00 and that he was dispossessed of said improvement containing 25 [acres] of river land in the early part of 1835. "We certify that the ferry known as Blackburn's Ferry on the Etowah River is reasonably worth the sum of two hundred dollars pr. annum over and above its ordinary expences and that Lewis Blackburn whose improvement it was, was turned out of possession in the early part of the year 1835.
